Collaborative Design with Pico Embossed Panel

This project explores a thoughtful and collaborative design approach centred on enhancing user experience through materiality, texture, and performance. By leveraging the versatility of embossed acoustic panels, the design integrates subtle spatial layering with functional outcomes, creating a balanced environment that supports both aesthetic and practical requirements. The process emphasised collaboration, adaptability, and the integration of meaningful design elements to deliver a refined, human-centred space.

While the strong material identity of the Pico Embossed Panel provided a clear foundation, it was further enhanced through its application in colours 269 Wine, 384 Olive, 484 Cayenne, 495 Dusk, and 580 Sage, enriching the panel’s texture and adding depth to the overall design. A particularly engaging aspect of the process was the opportunity to express Indigenous brand elements through the panels, enabling a meaningful integration of cultural narrative within the design outcome.

A key strength of the product is its simplicity and versatility. It introduces depth, texture, and pattern in a subtle, refined manner, enhancing the space without overpowering the overall design intent. Its adaptability encouraged exploration of unique applications, allowing it to work seamlessly across different design moments while maintaining a cohesive, contemporary, and sophisticated aesthetic.

The collaboration on this project was a genuinely positive experience, characterised by a strong sense of partnership. Open communication, responsiveness, and a shared commitment to achieving the best possible design outcome were evident throughout the process.

The Woven Image in-house Commercial Services and Project Delivery teams were instrumental in the project's success. Working closely with the designers and architects, the Commercial Services team helped bring this unique, bespoke vision to life by managing queries and quotations, providing expert technical guidance, and delivering accurate drawings informed by extensive industry experience. Complementing this effort, the Project Delivery team coordinated with designers, contractors, and in-house operations teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials, supporting the seamless execution of the project from concept through to completion.
