A considered use of materials, texture and colour was important as Francis Burne sought to design a welcoming and supportive office atmosphere. With an expanding client base of those seeking mental health support, acoustic control would be increasingly important to create and maintain a relaxed setting for staff and clients.

GLB constructions installed Array 12mm acoustic ceiling blades and EchoPanel® Empire wall panels. As decorative surfaces, they appeal visually, with a fabric-like finish that provides character to ceiling and walls, while delivering functional benefits of reduced sound reverberation.

The office design takes inspiration from the surrounding Tasmanian landscape, with award-winning photography from the local community featuring on the walls. Brought forth in the choice of material and colour, also. This thoughtful design brings familiarity and relaxation to patients and staff occupying the space.
