JPE Design Studio Pty Ltd, in collaboration with Elite, has developed a workspace layout for the Burnside Village Centre that strikes a refined balance between collaboration and concentration. The design incorporates a variety of zones that support diverse work styles - from open, interactive areas that encourage teamwork to quieter, more intimate spaces for focused tasks - enhancing both functionality and day-to-day operations.

A key objective of the project was to achieve carefully considered acoustics between each space, presenting a unique challenge given the high ceilings and exposed services of the open floor plan. To address this, a suspended acoustic system featuring Fuji Juni ceiling tiles in Cream (908) was implemented, with integrated lighting positioned above each workstation pod to provide both visual cohesion and acoustic performance.

“The Fuji tiles were selected for their perfect balance of form and function. Perfectly positioned above the workstations, they enhance the space while maintaining the soft, neutral aesthetic of the environment.” - Kelsie Lafont-Hamon, Senior Interior Designer at JPE Design Studio Pty Ltd

The fitout embraces curved forms, biophilic elements, and a palette of soft, warm tones. These are complemented by a thoughtfully integrated lighting design that adds warmth, sophistication, and harmony to the space. The use of Pico Embossed Panel in Cream (908) further enhances the interior by introducing subtle texture and reinforcing the aesthetic whilst improving acoustic comfort.
