Prior to the HDR upgrade, Architectus refurbished various learning and teaching spaces across three campuses for the University of Adelaide. This included lecture hall auditoriums, flexible areas for teamwork and quiet independent study zones. To provide an optimised education experience, acoustic treatment was a must.
Architectus conducted workshops with academics, staff, students and infrastructure teams to understand the needs and wants of the campus. Of notable development, were multiple large-scale lecture theatres which were converted to be more contemporary and collaborative in nature.
Woven Image acoustic panels were installed in wall and ceiling applications across the various teaching and learning environments. Pico embossed panels, EchoPanel® Empire, EchoPanel® Longitude and in the ceiling, EchoPanel 12mm and 24mm. Resulting in welcoming spaces that encourage students to stay and support them to engage and collaborate with others.
